Winter tours: Dimensione Sicilia presents New Year’s and St. Agatha itineraries

It starts with New Year’s itineraries and then continues with those on the occasion of the celebration of St. Agatha. Are you ready to find out all the news?
Those who think that Sicily is an exclusively summer destination do not know what they are missing! In fact, the island surprises throughout the year, and even the coldest months can reveal unsuspected magic. Christmas lights, traditional colors, religious celebrations and the pleasure of enjoying a warm sunny day even in winter. A Sicily perhaps unusual or perhaps just different from the classic imagery of beaches and boat rides. Dimensione Sicilia does not pause, then, and once they closed the ‘Summer’ chapter it’s immediately time to open the ‘Winter Season’ with five winter tours.
New Year’s Eve tours, let’s toast 2024
Even in 2023, here are our three New Year’s Eve tours that have already been very successful in previous years. Would you like to welcome 2024 together with us? Then take a look at what we propose.
The 8-day New Year’s Eve Special Tour is the most comprehensive itinerary and will depart from Catania on December 27th. After visiting the south of Sicily with some iconic spots such as Noto and Syracuse, it will continue west through Agrigento, Marsala and Palermo. It is precisely in the capital city that we will wait for midnight on December 31st to toast the New Year! The year 2024 will begin with a stop in Cefalù and Castelbuono before ending the journey with the breathtaking views of Mount Etna and the seductions of Taormina.
Alternatively, if you prefer a shorter itinerary, you can opt for the 6-day New Year’s Special Tour (departing on Dec. 27th from Catania) or the 5-day New Year’s Special Tour. The latter departs from Palermo on December 30th and then continues to Catania.

Celebrating St. Agatha
Two other winter tours part of Dimensione Sicilia’s programming are those of the St. Agatha Special. The patron saint of Catania is the protagonist of some incredible celebrations that fully involve the city of Etna, an unmissable spectacle with a highly suggestive atmosphere charged with a strong sense of mysticism and all the local tradition.
Those who will choose the 8-day itinerary, have to pack to leave on January 30th from Palermo: on February 3rd, after some intermediate stops, you will arrive in Catania to totally immerse yourself in the celebrations! The Special St. Agatha has also been designed in a 4-day ‘short’ version. We will meet in Catania directly on February 3rd with a trip, the following day, to Etna and Taormina. A great idea to regenerate and to experience firsthand one of Sicily’s oldest religious traditions. A special memory to take home, an experience you will not forget!
