Bucatini pasta with sardines left in the sea. The Sicilia cuisine on your table
A timeless classic dish from the Sicilian cuisine that we suggest again.
The bucatini with sardines are a typical dish of Sicilian cuisine. In addition to proposing it during the Sicilian Secrets Tour, we suggest it here the authentic Sicilian recipe so you can travel with the taste.
Serves 4:
- 400 g bucatini pasta
- 1 kg fennel
- 10 salted anchovy fillets
- 1 onion
- 100 g pine nuts
- 100 g raisins
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
Boil the fennel in salted water, drain and cut into pieces, setting aside the cooking liquid.
In a frying pan, cook the chopped onion in the olive oil until golden with the pine nuts. Add the raisins and anchovies and cook for another 5 minutes until the anchovies fall apart.
Add the fennel and cook for another 5 minutes.
Boil the pasta in the water used to boil the fennel, drain and serve with sauce.
