Almond milk, the summer drink!

almond milkA solution for hot summer days, boosting you energy? Simple, drink a glass of fresh almond milk, strictly homemade! This tasty drink, contains vitamin E, is a natural antioxidant and is a source of vitamin A, vitamin D, protein, Omega 6, zinc, calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium; Is also  gluten, lactose or cholesterol free. Here is the recipe:


  • 150 g whole almonds
  • 150 gr peeled almonds
  • 300 gr sugar
  • 300 gr water

Put the almonds in a blender along with 100 g sugar and blitz to obtain a fine owder. Pour the powder into a saucepan with the water and the remaining sugar; heat but do not bring to the boil. leave to cool, then refrigerate for a whole day. Filter the milk through a strainer or a piece of white linen. Serve cold.
